7. Katie Neff

Katie served eight years as a combat engineer officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. After multiple overseas deployments, she commanded a unit of drill instructors and recruits at Marine Corps Boot Camp at Parris Island. She is the first female Marine to complete U.S. Army Sapper School. After separating from service and earning a dual master’s degree, she continues to work in social enterprise and nonprofit endeavors.
