5. Nate Boyer

After several deployments as a Green Beret, Nate went on to play college football for the Texas Longhorns. He continued to serve in the National Guard and even went back to combat during the offseason. After being given a chance to play for the Seattle Seahawks, Nate finally hung up another uniform to pursue a career in film and television. He remains heavily involved in charitable activities and cofounded a nonprofit for vets.
